AKHorn Academy's group classes are small (6-12 students per class), intense and supportive to help each student fulfill their musical goals. Our world today is overstimulated and disconnected. Learning to play an instrument is an organic, real, gift of life that reminds us of beauty and simplicity. We are reminded of our ability to create beauty with just our hands and our ears. There is no technology needed to create music on a string instrument. All we need is love and determination.
Students learn the foundations of playing string fundamentals that includes bow hold, violin hold, and tone production. We teach from the Suzuki perspective which means we learn music the same way we learn languages. Listening is of utmost importance at the beginning stages of violin playing.
