PIANO

AKHorn Academy’s group classes are small (6-12 students per class), intense and supportive to help each student fulfill their musical goals.

 

Students learn the importance of understanding what he/she are doing while using both hands at the piano. Students identify how to employ both hands at the keyboard while developing techniques to read music. Students identify basic music theory while playing through traditional folk songs, lullabies, and nursery rhymes (intervals, time signatures, key signatures, and scales). All piano classes meet once a week for a hour  and 1/2 per class.

While in class each student works at their own piano (88 keys semi-weighted) with headphones.
